Seafly 361

Can I first thank you for keeping the Seafly alive!

I sold my Seafly 361 (much to my regret) in about 1977 appox, to someone who travelled up from the South East, it could have been the Worthing area. It was a composite style, and in fair condition when I sold it. The attached photo was copied from an old colour slide. I would be very interested if you could establish if 361 was still alive.

Previous owner…

Thanks so much for the Seafly memories website which I found last week.

I have owned 3 different Seaflys:

  • 361 which I owned from new (1970) pics attached – I’m the mop headed guy in the first (1971) pic. This was sold to my crew (Keith Davis) at Keynes Park SC
  • 456 which I built from a hull kit from South Devon Boat Builders (1972?) no pics, but I sold this to a member of South Cerney SC in 73/74 – any more news?
  • then in 89 I bought 369 from a couple in Cheltenham, pic attached of my sons sailing her in Swanage Bay ca 92

In the mid 70’s I lived in NZ and bought a set of plans from Stan Herbert, this was never built, but I have no record of what number was issued.Graham Uren (August 2014)
