On advice from “SeaflyMemories” in March 2016 Seafly 36 was advertised by Peter Malby on Apollo Duck and was bought the same day by a couple who used to have Seafly No 3 some years ago! Details in the advert were:
Seafly 36 is under a cover in my back garden….
This wooden boat is in good condition since the chines are glass fibre taped and the hull treated with epoxy resin prior to being painted. The self-bailers have been removed and the hull made good. Rowlocks have been fitted together with an outboard pad on the transom. One of the two floatation air bags has a slow leak.
The boat comes complete with oars, sails, including a spinnaker, an anchor and a road trailer. The road trailer needs a scrub and a coat of paint.
I think the boat was built by South Devon Boat Builders in around 1961/2 and is a good general purpose dinghy for cruising, fishing, rowing etc., as well as being an enjoyable and safe boat to sail.
