Mayfly 10 – Taliesin

Taliesin has had new side decks and seating fitted, the mast and boom have been pried apart, re-glued, sanded and re-vanished. The old bronze kicker fitting having had new bronze threaded bushes brazed into the original castings and new stainless steel lock screw’s manufactured. The original tufnol jib cleats are being refurbished and the tiller/rudder has been refurbished keeping all the original fittings.

If all goes well the Mayfly will be taking part in next year’s 54th 24-hour Three Rivers Race in Norfolk as my eldest daughter has volunteered to crew.

Taliesin sails well and is very stable in windy conditions, her windward performance is as very good as the original literature suggests.
