Classic Seafly [was] Available!

Originally owned and developed by Highcliffe Sailing Club family McPhersons, Seafly 69 became a championship winner in the 1960-70s. A true legend of the Club.  I found the dinghy in the early 1990s and performed superficial repairs to race her in Seafly Nationals until the mid 1990s. I purchased a number of development sails from J McPhersons. The hull  has since then been kept (largely) under dry cover and is still in reasonably good condition.

The dinghy has two masts (both alloy one being straight parallel and therefore stiff, the other has a full taper) and two booms. It was being prepared for a strengthened floor when I last worked on her. Reluctantly I did not continue due to conflicting circumstances, The hull however seems sound and could sail again with appropriate attention.

I would love to see her restored and am happy to give her (free) to a sailing enthusiast.

She rests on a heavy duty galvanised trailer/trolley combo which needs new tyres, but is otherwise very sound. This is available for a cheque donation to Cancer Research of say £50 if taken with the dinghy.
